Market Update : Where is the bottom?

Posted on November 27th, 2007 by
indu_11_27_07.PNG

Where is the bottom is the magical question everyone is asking? Every technician spends a lifetime to figure out a top and a bottom. As of yet, there is no CONSISTENT accuracy in anyone’s predictions out there. Even, W.D. Gann, who was the most successful trader, came up with dates where he said they were POSSIBLE turn dates. He never said they were for sure but said they were possible turn dates. He used other signals around these dates to confirm a momentum change.

Let’s look at the charts and see if we can find some dates where a possible trend change could happen. First, if you look at yesterday’s low, you will see we moved almost the exact same percentage as the last down movement. Also, yesterday’s inter-day low was a Fib value. You can see this on the chart. Therefore, today could be a possible turn date. We have to see how the next two days go before we know for sure if today was the turn date.

Now, let see if we can find some other possible turn dates. Using Gann’s theory, I have two other possible turn dates. These dates are where price and time are …

Ichimoku / Stock Market : Update

Posted on November 26th, 2007 by

The sentiment is still bearish for the market. However, Friday was a drastic up day. This occurred with very low volume so we are not going to take that day too seriously. Have a tighter stop now because the Fed is going to be talking beginning in December. Everyone is expecting a rate cut AGAIN. Also, the holiday rally will occur soon. I think it will happen after Dec 11. If you are a trend trader right now, you are not trading. The only people trading right now are day traders and swing traders.

Dow / Seasonal / Ichimoku : Market Update

Posted on November 12th, 2007 by
djx_11_12_07_d_.PNG

What a market? The VIX is over 31+? Volatility is back in the market. This is a day trader’s market right now. The trends only exist in the lower times (less then Daily). On the daily and weekly chart, some of the trends are now just starting to develop. They are NOT mature as of yet.

Below is the chart of the INDU. I have drawn some Gann Lines along with some support lines. It seems like we are going to go lower and then bounce. Right now, there is going to be a lot of resistance in going completely bearish. Unit, we close below 12,100, we do not have a good trend. This value may change but right now, that is the value where a bearish trend could develop.

The chart formation at this time, shows that this may be a major pull back. Only time will tell. We will not be placing a trade at this time since we really do not see a trend.

For EDUCATIONAL USE.    Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Forex, Futures, Equity and options trading has large potential rewards, but also large potential risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You must …
